During Visual Arts lessons in Kindergarten students explore, observe, investigate, imagine, and experiment in their own artmaking. They respond to the artworks of other artists who have explored similar subject matter in their explorations of the world, and think about the reasons the artists may have made these artworks.
Kindergarten love drawing and painting. This week we have been exploring books about the ocean. We read Eric Carle's Mister Seahorse which inspired our Seahorse drawings. Students listened carefully to instructions to create their own masterpieces. Students coloured their seahorses using wax crayon and then covered their seahorses with blue edicol dye paint. Students were amazed to see the paint resist the crayon. Kindergarten's artwork is on a wall in our office this week on display.
